Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (CFS/M.E)

“Supporting you with fatigue, energy and emotional wellbeing.”

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) / M.E

Many people experiencing Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) or M.E also relate to symptoms of Fibromyalgia, as the two conditions can often overlap.

If you’re unsure which best reflects your experience, you may find it helpful to also explore my Fibromyalgia support page.

You don’t need to have all the answers — many of these experiences can overlap, and what matters most is how you are feeling.

“You don’t need to figure this out alone — I’ll guide you.”

Living With Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) / M.E.

Living with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) or M.E can feel exhausting in more ways than one.

It’s not just physical fatigue… it can affect your thoughts, emotions, motivation and overall quality of life.

You may feel frustrated, misunderstood, or unsure how to move forward.

This is a space where you can begin to feel supportedgently, and at your own pace.

Understanding the Condition...

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome / M.E can be very debilitating, often impacting both physical and mental wellbeing.

Many people experience:

  • Ongoing fatigue that doesn’t improve with rest
  • Brain fog or difficulty concentrating
  • Low energy and motivation
  • Emotional ups and downs
  • Frustration around limitations

My aim is to support you by helping you understand and work with the power of your mind and thought, allowing you to begin creating positive changes in how you experience your condition.

How Hypnotherapy Can Help…

The body responds to our thoughts far more than we often realise.

If you think about a time when you’ve felt stressed, you may notice how quickly your heart rate changes, how your breathing shifts, and how your body reacts.

This shows just how powerful the mind-body connection can be.

Through hypnotherapy, I help you begin to understand and work with this connection in a gentle and supportive way.

This can help you to:

  • Feel calmer and more emotionally balanced
  • Reduce stress and overwhelm
  • Improve your relationship with fatigue
  • Develop a more positive and supportive mindset
  • Feel more in control of your day-to-day experience

Even a basic understanding of how the mind works can create powerful shifts — and this is something I teach within my sessions and groups.

A Gentle, Personal Approach...

Every experience of CFS/M.E is different.

There is no pressure, no expectation — just support that is tailored to you.

Together, we work at your pace, focusing on what you need most in that moment.

Understanding the Importance of Pacing...

When living with fatigue or chronic pain conditions, pacing is an important part of managing your energy and wellbeing.

It’s about learning to listen to your body, recognising your limits, and finding a balance between activity and rest — without pushing yourself to the point of exhaustion.

Many people experience a cycle of doing too much on a “good day” and then needing time to recover afterwards. Pacing gently helps to reduce this cycle and create more consistency.

Within my sessions, we work together to support this approach by:

  • Increasing awareness of your energy levels
  • Reducing the pressure you may place on yourself
  • Creating a more balanced and sustainable way of moving through your day

There is no expectation to push beyond your limits — instead, we focus on working with your body, not against it.

“Small, steady steps often create the most lasting change.”

My Experience Supporting Fatigue Conditions...

Alongside my private client work, I have supported many individuals living with fatigue-related conditions in both one-to-one sessions and group environments.

An important part of this journey was my involvement with the Salus Fatigue Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation focused on supporting individuals, their families, and friends affected by fatigue-related conditions.

Salus offered a valuable source of support for those living with conditions such as:

  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome / M.E
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Cancer
  • Brain injury
  • Hormonal and post-traumatic conditions

During my time with Salus, I facilitated regular monthly sessions at their centres in Sutton Coldfield and Moseley, working closely with individuals who were often experiencing ongoing fatigue, low energy, and the challenges that come with managing daily life.

As my work developed, I was also invited to design and deliver course content for their Fatigue Wellbeing Hub — creating sessions that helped individuals better understand the connection between the mind and body, particularly in relation to energy, stress, and recovery.

These sessions included:

  • The Power of the Mind
  • How Your Mind Can Support Your Body
  • Mindfulness
  • From Stress Mess to Stress Less

Through this work, I supported a wide range of individuals and saw first-hand how powerful it can be when someone begins to understand their own energy patterns, thoughts, and emotional responses.

I also contributed to live online sessions, sharing practical ways to use the mind-body connection to support energy management and reduce overwhelm.

One of the most meaningful aspects of this experience was seeing how, when people are given the right understanding and tools, it can help break the cycle of overdoing and exhaustion — creating a more balanced and sustainable way of moving through daily life.

This experience has played a significant role in shaping the work I do today.

The content I created and the approaches I developed have naturally evolved into my own Harmony Life Balance courses and sessions, where I continue to support clients in building awareness, pacing themselves more effectively, and creating a steadier sense of wellbeing.

“This depth of experience allows me to meet each client where they are, with understanding, compassion and practical support.”

A Safe and Supportive Space...

Working with the mind can create positive changes both mentally and physically.

The techniques I use through Harmony Life Balance help you gain a deeper understanding of your mind, allowing you to move forward with more clarity, hope and a renewed sense of balance.
